The new Meta AI-powered "Restyle" tool lets you edit your photos and videos right inside the app using simple prompts. This means no external apps, no complicated tools, just a few taps and a smart prompt to change how your Story looks. Think of Restyle as your personal editor inside Instagram. Once you upload a photo or video to your Story, you'll now see a new Restyle button in the editing screen. Tap it, and you can either type a short text prompt - like "make the background sunset orange" or "add fairy lights in the sky" - or pick from ready-made AI effects. The AI can tweak everything from lighting and background to objects in your photo. It can remove distractions, add fun elements, or completely change the vibe of your Story. Instagram Meta AI Restyle Tool For Stories: How To Use It

If you are trying to share a photo on Story:

  • Tap the "+" on your profile and select a photo for your Story.
  • Simply click the Restyle icon at the top.
  • Now, choose between Add, Remove, or Change and type your edit.
  • Tap Done, preview, and post it.

On the other hand, for videos:

  • Select a video for your Story.
  • Tap the Restyle icon in the editing tray.
  • Pick a preset effect - like snow, rain, or cinematic lighting - and apply it instantly.

Instagram says the more descriptive your prompt, the better the output. So instead of saying "make it brighter," try "add warm golden sunlight." Mentioning elements like lighting, mood, or composition helps Meta AI understand what you're aiming for.
