It's been over a decade since Rockstar dropped GTA 5, and ever since then, fans have been waiting for the next big open-world chaos to hit their screens. Now, GTA 6 is finally on the way, and the hype in India is massive. From PS5 and Xbox players to those holding out for a PC release, everyone wants to know the same things -- when exactly is it coming, how much will it cost here, and what's new this time?

GTA 6 Release Date in India
Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 6 will release globally on May 26, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. Since it launches at midnight ET, Indian players can expect access from the morning of May 26.
But what about PC? Rockstar hasn't announced anything yet. If history repeats itself (remember how GTA 5 arrived on PC nearly two years after consoles?), then PC gamers in India might have to wait until mid-2027.
Expected GTA 6 Price in India
This is where things get a little heavy on the pocket. Current leaks suggest the following:
- Standard Edition Around Rs 5,999
- Deluxe Edition Around Rs 7,299
- Collector's Edition Could cross Rs 20,000
That means GTA 6 will probably be one of the most expensive games in India at launch.
GTA 6 Maps and Locations
The game world is set in Leonida, Rockstar's version of Florida, with a refreshed Vice City at its heart. Expect beaches, swamps, islands, neon-filled downtowns, and even national parks. Confirmed areas include Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park.
GTA 6 Characters and Story
For the first time in GTA history, we'll get to play as a female lead character. The story will focus on Lucia Caminos and her partner-in-crime Jason Duval. They'll be joined by a bunch of interesting characters -- from hustlers and musicians to smugglers and local legends.
Gameplay Features and PC Specs (Leaked)
While Rockstar hasn't shown us full gameplay yet, early teasers point to updated heists, police chases, and stealth mechanics like sneaking and crawling. Basically, the chaos gets an upgrade.
For PC players, leaked specs suggest you'll need at least an RTX 3060, 16GB RAM, and 150GB SSD just to run the game. The recommended specs are even higher -- RTX 3080 with 32GB RAM -- so this is going to be a demanding title.
