Paytm, the UPI payment app, has recently announced a new feature to help you manage your recurring expenses with ease. There must be several cases when you may forget about an important payment on a monthly basis. Maybe it's the house rent, tuition fees, or even the salary you give to your domestic help. Missing these not only causes stress but also disrupts your monthly budget planning.
To resolve the issue, the Paytm Reminder feature is here. It lets you set alerts for all your regular payments. The app now identifies frequent outflows like rent or fees and prompts you to create a reminder so you don't miss due dates. What's even better is that you can customise these reminders with payment tags for quick identification and track both pending and completed ones in a single place. Here is how to use it and what it will offer.
How To Enable Paytm Reminder Feature?
If you want to enable the Paytm Reminder feature, then follow these simple steps:
- First of all, open the Paytm app and go to the 'To Mobile' section.
- Here, tap on the 'Reminders' tab.
- Either pick from Paytm's suggested list or tap 'Create New' to add your own.
- After that, choose the contact, set the due date, and (optionally) add a payment purpose tag.
- Simply click on the 'Set Reminder' and you're done.
When the due date arrives, Paytm will notify you with a timely alert so that you can make the payment without any delay. Well, this may not seem like a big update to your UPI app, but the new feature can be proven important. With more and more recurring payments happening digitally, features like this save you from last-minute rushes or late fees.
