Jio-Airtel Discontinuous Rs 249 Pack, Which Is The Cheapest Plan Now?
Jio and Airtel have both discontinued their budget-friendly Rs 249 prepaid plan, leaving many users searching for the next cheapest alternative.
The Rs 249 pack earlier offered 1GB data per day, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS, making it a perfect short-term option for many.
With its removal, Jio’s new entry-level plan now starts at Rs 299, offering 1.5GB data per day with unlimited calling and SMS.
The Jio's Rs 299 plan offers JioTV and JioAI Cloud option, as well as 100 SMS/day option in addition to the 1.5GB data per day for 28 days.
Airtel users also lose their Rs 249 choice, which carried 24-day validity and was a go-to for light data users seeking affordability.
You now face higher starting tariffs, but Jio’s Rs 349 plan sweetens the deal with 2GB/day data, unlimited calls, and 90-day Hotstar access.
Both operators seem to be pushing users towards higher-value packs, many of which also unlock free 5G services for those with compatible phones.
