Robot commits suicide in South Korea

You heard that right, a robot in South Korea, reportedly committed suicide. 

The robot reportedly fell from stairs before it was found in a defunct state. 

The robot in question was created by a Californian firm Bear Robotics.

It was a civil servant bot working since August 2023. 

As per eyewitnesses, the robot's behaviour before falling was uncanny, as it was circling in one spot as if it was confused. 

After being in such a state for some time, it fell. This is termed as suicide, however, it likely had a malfunction since robots lack emotions. 

Bear Robotics is analysing the exact cause of the malfunction. 

The robot was a first-of-its-kind staff member who performed tasks like delivering documents, doing resident information services, etc.
