Gaganyaan: A look at ISRO's previous milestone missions

ISRO will conduct a key test in its ambitious space mission Gaganyaan on October 21

It is an “In-flight Abort Demonstration of Crew Escape System.

An empty module will piggyback a TV-D1 to travel to the space.

ISRO previously conducted various successful missions, including Aditya-L1 for solar probe.

Another milestone mission was Chandrayaan-3 sending India to the moon.

Mangalyaan/ Mars Orbiter Mission landed India in the Martian orbit to study the red planet.

Cartosat-2 Series Satellite Mission carried 30 co-passenger satellites from different nations for earth observation.

Chandrayaan - 1 was also ISRO's successful mission to test the lunar probe in 2008.
