Apple's latest iOS 17.4 update brings support for third-party app stores in the EU.

It also brings new emojis and updates to Apple Podcasts.

All that sounds exciting, but what's more is that it enables ever faster wireless charging on iPhone 12.

What that means is that the iPhone 12 can be wirelessly charged with full 15W speed.

So far, it had a 7.5W wireless charging speed with non-Magsafe, and the 15W was reserved for newer models.

The update brings the Qi2 charging standard, meaning you can use a non-MagSafe charger to charge your iPhone 12 with 15W speeds.

With faster wireless charging, the iPhone 12 Pro can charge up to 30 per cent in 38 minutes.

iPhone 12 lineup was launched back in 2020 with Apple's A14 Bionic chipset.
