6 India-specific features coming to your iPhone with iOS 18

Apple announced iOS 18 last month for iPhones with several features.

Now, some India-specific features have been added to iOS 18. Here are 6 such features coming to your iPhone.

iOS 18's lock screen/contact poster will allow you to set Indian numerals from 12 languages, including Devanagari, Gujarati, Kannada, etc. 

Alphabetical keyboard layouts, making it easier to type in native scripts. 

Siri now supports 9 additional Indian languages such as Hindi, Indian English, and more. 

The language search on iOS 18 has been enhanced to support search capabilities for Devanagari, Bangla, Assamese, and Gujarati. 

Translate feature now supports Hindi translation on Safari webpages among other places in the UI. 

Lastly, users with iPhone 12 and later, running iOS 18, can type phonetically with Latin characters in English and up to two additional Indian languages.
