It added a run button, unique combo strings for each character, stage transitions and interactive elements.

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (Release: 1995)

This was released to address complaints with the last version. It brought back some of the missing characters and stages and added new ones.

It was a compilation of all the previous games. It included every character, stage, and mode from MK1 to UMK3 and some new additions.

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (Release: 2008)

It was a crossover game that pitted the characters from Mortal Kombat against those from DC Comics with toned down the violence and gore.

Retold the story of the first three games with a twist: a future version of Raiden sent a message to his past self to prevent Armageddon.

Continued the story of MK9 with a new generation of characters. The game added more features and modes to the gameplay.
