Paytm FASTag Invalid? 5 Things you need to know

The National Highway Authority of India has removed Paytm Payments Bank from its list of approved banks to offer FASTag service. 

This move comes weeks after Paytm Payments Bank's ban was announced by RBI.

Here are five things you should know if you have a Paytm FASTag.

Payment Payments Bank was recently banned from onboarding new customers for its services including FASTag. 

This means no new user can open FASTag with Paytm Payments Bank. Hence, the removal. 

However, those who have a balance in their existing Paytm FASTag can continue to use it till March 15. 

That said, you will either have to port FASTag by contacting other authorized banks as per the NHAI list or deactivate it after all the balance is used. 

Some notable NHAI-approved banks for FASTag to which you can port to are HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Airtel Payments Bank, and others.
