Delhi odd-even rule: 8 key things to know

The odd-even rule is a car rationing scheme.

The Delhi government will implement the odd-even scheme for a week between November 13 to 20.

On odd-numbered days, only cars with registration numbers that finish in an odd digit are permitted on Delhi roads.

But on even-numbered days, only cars with registration numbers that end in an even digit are permitted.

The scheme is in effect from 8 am to 8 pm.

Delhi may extend the scheme after November 20.

Women drivers and emergency response vehicles such as ambulances are exempted under the scheme.

Violators have faced fines of Rs 4,000 previously.
