Google also demoed the prototype video capabilities of Gemini, courtesy of Project Astra. It allows Gemini to detect things around you and offer a response. 

Gemini customization - The Gemini app will receive a customization feature called Gems. You can create your custom Gem. 

For instance - a Custom Gem for writing or for tutoring. 

Gemini AI is now better at trip planning as it can gather info from emails, search, and offer a personalized result. 

Gemini is getting upgraded with contextual capabilities.

This means you can invoke Gemini AI assistant above an app and ask it to do tasks. For instance, you can ask about a video that you are playing on YouTube.

Or you can generate an image and drag and drop it in chats in the messages app.

Gemini language support - The Gemini app now supports 35 new languages.
