WhatsApp to make UPI payments easier, here's how

WhatsApp has begun rolling out a new UPI-friendly tool.

The Android app now has a UPI code scanner right on the home screen.

This UPI code scanner is visible right next to the camera icon.

Tapping the scanner will immediately open the camera and allow you to scan a QR code.

This feature, however, is available only to the latest beta version of WhatsApp.

This means that only beta testers can access this feature.

Users have to sign up for the beta programme to access this feature.

WhatsApp has not revealed when this tool will be available to everyone.
