While UPI is a convenient and fast way to make payments online, it is a target for scammers.

To save yourself from online frauds and keep your bank account secure, here are some tips to follow.

Be cautious of unsolicited calls and messages and refrain from sharing OTP or UPI PIN with anyone over phone.

Double-check the recipient's UPI ID and address before making a payment.

Create a strong and hard-to-guess PIN for your UPI payments. Better, if it is different from the ATM PIN.

Secure your UPI apps with a security lock like face recognition or fingerprint biometric authentication.

Set a transaction limit to your bank account so that the loss is minimal, in case.

Report any suspicious activity in your account to the bank and the UPI provider app.
