Paytm FASTag to stop working after March 15: Here's what you must do

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has urged people to replace their Paytm FASTags before March 15.

That is because Paytm Payments Bank will shut down on March 15 following RBI's directive.

Existing customers of Paytm FASTag, thus, need to change their bank.

You cannot directly transfer a Paytm FASTag to a different bank, but get a new one from a different bank.

You can buy one from the existing providers listed on the IHMCL website.

Once you link a bank account to your FASTag, it will be activated.

To close your existing Paytm FASTag, go to the Paytm app and choose the option to close or surrender it.

Alternatively, you can call Paytm FASTag customer care to request the closure.
