Instagram Trick: How To Mute Stories Without Drama!

Instagram allows you to mute stories from specific users without unfollowing or blocking them.

Open Instagram and long-press on the user’s story you want to mute from the top stories row.

A menu will appear - tap Mute to manage what you want to hide.

Choose Mute Story so their stories stop appearing in your feed.

Their posts and messages will still be visible; only stories are hidden from view.

Muted stories move to the end of the stories list and won’t auto-play anymore.

You can unmute anytime by visiting their profile and changing the mute settings.
