Open Google Maps, then type the city or area you want to visit. Tap it once the map loads fully.

Tap the three-dot menu or the “Download” option. Google will highlight the area that will be saved offline.

Zoom in or out to choose how large the offline map should be — city, region, or entire district.

Hit Download, and Google saves roads, places, and directions for offline use. Larger areas take more storage.

Turn off mobile data → open Maps → it will automatically switch to your offline map for navigation.

Offline maps expire too. So, check Offline Maps, then Update before every trip to get the latest routes and changes.

It saves battery too! Offline maps use less data and less battery - perfect for long trips, mountains, or remote locations.
