How To Hide Notifications For Specific WhatsApp Chats

WhatsApp lets you silence notifications for individual chats or groups without muting your entire phone or missing other important alerts.

Open WhatsApp and tap on the chat or group for which you want to hide notifications.

Tap the contact or group name at the top to open chat settings.

Select Mute notifications and choose the duration, 8 hours, 1 week, or Always.

Turn on Show notifications OFF so alerts don’t appear on your lock screen or notification panel.

You can also enable Archive chat → Keep chats archived to hide muted chats completely from your main chat list.

Notifications stay hidden, but messages are still saved, you can check the chat anytime without alert sounds or pop-ups.
