Go to Settings > Privacy > Last Seen & Online and choose “Nobody” or “Same as last seen” to hide your online activity.
You can now lock individual chats using your fingerprint or Face ID. Just tap on the contact name > Chat Lock.
This adds an extra layer of security. Go to Settings > Account > Two-Step Verification and set up a 6-digit PIN.
Avoid spam groups by going to Privacy > Groups > My Contacts Except... and choose who can add you.
If you don’t want others to see when you’ve read their messages, turn off “Read Receipts” under Privacy. (Note: You won’t see theirs either.)
Tap Privacy > Status and decide who can view your stories. You can share updates only with selected contacts.
Check Linked Devices regularly to make sure no one has logged into your account without permission. Remove any you don’t recognize.
