Gmail shortcuts - Yes, Gmail has shortcuts (C to compose, A to reply) and you can enable them in Settings > General > Keyboard shortcuts. 

Schedule emails - Gmail allows users to schedule emails. This means you can schedule birthday emails for your colleagues or manager.
